An animated series based on the popular children's toy "Digimon", in which kids raise electronic monsters to fight against those raised by other kids. The show follows the adventures of a team of real monster trainers as they travel about honing their skills and facing challenges from rival trainers.

Ten years after the Great Tokyo War, each prefecture in Japan has split up into independent nations. Each nation is ruled by a prophet called "Mosa" and an army called "Mob" as they start to compete to take over other countries.

High school student Taro Sado comes to realize that he is an extreme masochist and attempts to conceal this from his crush. To fix his problem, he enrolls in his school's "2nd Volunteer Club", where Mio Isurugi and the other members attempt to cure him through various "training" regimens.
