Well, technically not so much "gore" as the excessively creative methods of death or the threat thereof.
notexactlyright
No. The premise was creative, but I wasn't interested in the gore. If it's a book, I'll read it. Visually, I couldn't enjoy it.

Still not a fan of them. I'm a mystery fan, which includes mysteries about the paranormal. After studying to be an EMT and volunteering in an ER, slashers hold very little mystery for me. I also have a sympathetic nerve problem... When I see somebody in pain, be it real or fictional, my legs, arms, or head will start aching in sympathy. That's not the ideal state I want to watch a movie in, haha. I'd much rather be on the edge of my seat trying to second-guess the characters and come up with a solution for the unfolding plot.

Haha, so then other than anime/manga that have gore and violence what movies do you know of. i really love horror, but i have yet to find one movie that actually scares me, most movies suck!

Sounds fun. :3 when are you going on your trip?
notexactlyright
That sounds like a horror comedy, haha. XD Well, I'm planning to watch either Dark Waters or Uzumaki tonight; both look really interesting and have good reviews. I'm not a fan of slashers; I don't like the simplicity of it. I prefer something that makes me think and try to guess what's going to happen next. "Ghastly" at least had that much on its side, despite the bloodiness of it and the clumsy way they offed the detective. I tried to watch a all-out slasher once and just got annoyed. There is such a thing as just too much gore.

Watching my cat and dog wrestle and trying to make a budget sothat I can get a laptop at some point. What about you?

Hmm, I've seen a good number of Japanese horror films, both good and bad, as well as one Korean horror film. I've seen a few American horror films and, well, none of them were exactly well thought out or challenging as to what would come next. The Ring is really good! You should definitely look it up. Dark Water's next on my list of horror films to watch. Apartment 1303 is also worth a watch, in my opinion... I loved it.

>///< thank you. I was bent on being a crazy cat lady (but with rats and snakes and dogs and cats and maybe an alligator or iguana or two). And cake cookies are like eating a whole cake in one bite
