Well sites like these are pretty good for meeting other anime fans, I've also met quite a bit of people through working for manga scanslator groups as well as through video games, a lot of which are some of my best friends now

Yea that seems to be the trend with anime clubs, someone will start it but not put the effort in to keep it going

Yea same here, there are a few anime clubs in fresno like the one at the library and at fresno city college, but the one at the library is probably a younger crowd and the one at FCC only has meetings on fridays when im not at school :(

Yea, I plan on at least getting all of the death note volumes since its only like $60-70 for the box set and as many of the Higurashi volumes as I can, though there is like over 30 and its still ongoing

Yea I have 4 too, they're not that expense, like $5-$10 but that starts adding up since there are so many I want to read .

Im reading 40+ which is probably not a good idea considering by the time most of the new chapters come out, I completely forget what was happening lol

Yes definitely try to get into the honors program, that extra week or 2 of priority registration really makes a difference. Btw do you read any manga?

Damn, that sounds like a lot of work! But all that work will pay off when you go to college if you get into the honors program. One of my friends is in it and they get really good priority registration, like a week or 2 before most people though you have to put more work in to the honors classes

Yep, it varies from class to class but for the most part there is a lot less work in the classes I've taken so far compared to high school, at least on the homework side of things. My american history class for example, we only have ONE paper, about 10 quizzes and 6 exams and thats it, the rest is just showing up to the lectures.
