In 2015 huge, tremendously powerful alien war machines return to Tokyo. The only hope for Mankind's survival lies in the Evangelion, a humanoid fighting machine developed by NERV, a special United Nations agency.

Tsukihime follows the perspective of Shiki Tohno, who suffered a life-threatening injury when he was young. When he regained consciousness, Shiki was able to see "death lines" through his "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception," which causes him immense headaches as his mind cannot cope with the sight of death.

In the future, life between the digital and physical world has been blurred. The boundary of technology and humanity has been stretched beyond imagination with lives being led in both the electronic and physical worlds.
