Anyone from Philly?

I'm from Lancaster. Philly is a weird area for anime. PA in general is a little too backwater for anything asian even in the Philly area. We had Zenkai-con here this year. I found out about it too late. I may go next year.

I wanted to go to Zenkaikon this year, but they keep moving further and further out west so it became unreachable for me =/

You can take the train from Philly to Lancaster. I'm pretty sure it's going to be here next year. Unfortunately most of Philly is a dump so it makes it hard for things to happen there. Philly needs a non-corrupt mayor to clean up the city. Too many abandoned buildings.

It needs a non-corrupt mayor, weaker unions, lower taxes, friendlier cops, fewer drug dealers, better schools... ...it's basically like most big cities. Also, I'm from Philadelphia. Lived here my whole life. I used to go to Zenkaikon, but I'm not terribly inclined to drive out to Lancaster to go to it. My sister is a Zenkaikon regular though.

Zenkaikon is the coolest! I highly recommend going if you can. I live around 20 minutes away from Philly. I'm going to Rittenhouse Square this weekend to cosplay with a big group of Homestuck fans if anyone knows of Homestuck.
