Depends on the person. Someone who was old enough to play the first pong game might say that's a classic. Some people might say game like Destroy all Humans is a class because the grew up with that. Imo (before all you correction nazis come) classics are things you grew up with.

You can never go wrong with the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. That will forever be a classic and icon.
