Bugs and Suggestions This Far

jikokun
This thread is pointless. Maybe it used to serve some significance, but it appears the admin(s) have stopped caring. Bugs? Maybe, but I'm sure they get slammed with emails or messages when people find one. But as far as suggestions go, when is the last time a suggestion was heard and implemented? A better question rather, when was the last time the site was updated, period? For fucks sake, they been trying to figure out what to do with hearts for HOW long? Never in my life have I seen such unmotivation by the programmers. What do I, what do WE have to do to get you to actually listen to you're user base and implement suggestions that many people have mentioned, or if you went going to implement them, how about making a post and updating the original post? For fucks sake, incompetence just pisses me off.

Makes me wonder if there are better sites for anime fans to meet other anime fans? I've looked a bit and each has almost the same setup. MaiOtaku is better for connecting and messaging with others, but lacks the actual matching other than our anime ratings. Don't get me wrong, the forum idea was good, but badly designed. Makes me wish that there was a site that could cater anime fans better for meeting new people and dating.

T was one I saw, but it was ran by some mass dating company that takes takes niche groups and is "catered" towards them. Of course, these all seem generic and are all "pay before you can use anything"

Also, from what I have seen here thus far, this is more of a hangout than a dating site. Seriously, we're going to promote this as a dating site, but allow under 18, basically children, to be mixed into the search pool? No lie, I've searched twice, and 3 out of the 7 I looked at were under 18. 6 of the 7 havnt been on (at the time) in over a month. And one was taken. Really?

Sometimes suggestions are unimportant. Other things come first, like SSL support, added today. Major feature updates usually happen once every 3 or 4 months. Last one was spam protection which seems to be working swell. This site is free. With about 100 subscribers, basically pays for the hosting but not really enough to give me more free time to actually code more.

I agree, ssl support is more important. And it's much appreciated that info was made known to us, it eases our minds to know things are running like it should. Also, Yes, most suggestions are unimportant, I will agree. What could help make this easier would be to keep the front page updated with what is in the pipeline. I understand you are on your own with this, which can make things hard to keep up with everything. Being on your own, I can respect the amount of work you are putting into the site. Being on mobile, I can't really tell, but what about ad revenue? yes, nobody likes ads, but for the amount of people that view the forums, it might help a bit in addition to subscribers. Getting the "maiotaku" name out there is only half the battle, also. Getting people to stay and subscribe is where you will make your revenue, therefore the question remains of how to do this. In all honesty, for me, I would subscribe if the benefits made it worth it. Now that might be a little hard due to the nature of the site, but I'm sure there must be some things that can be added to make it worth it. If ads are added, subscribers can get a no-ad membership. I mean it's one thought. I have faith that this can work, And although its going to be hard, it can be done. Thank you.

I know my last post in this was an Essay on things lol Gomen Inside my large comment. My question still stands...If members and outside influence was to bring a large number of people to this site can it handle such an increase? Like I said before...could have been me. But first day I signed up, the pages went blank a few times saying website was experiencing high traffic. O_o

Two updates: * Disabled or blocked accounts now aren't clickable. * New message and notification icons, much easier to know you have messages.
