How to deal with Depression

It depends on the cause I would say. Of course there's the "no cause", but that's more of a "I don't know why I'm depressed". If you know what the cause is, then there's three strategies which depend on that cause. Think through it. Work through it. Avoid it. If it's something you can't do anything about, then that's split into two different groups even further. Will time make it better? Then avoid it. Will nothing make it better? Then think through it. However, if it's something that you can do something about, then the best option is to work through it, although you can avoid it until you no longer care, but that's not guaranteed.

If you happen to be musically inclined, having a solo jam session really helps to get out the feels. I can't tell you how many times I've cried myself to sleep to the sound of my own guitar. The morning is always better though.

Tough one 1. Keep yourself busy 2. Don’t think about anything 3. Have a good cry(I mean really for like an hour)cry yourself to sleep if you have to. That’s what I usually do. 4. Truth is, you might not be able to “deal” with it. But you can live with it. By that I mean, take that feeling, and lock it up in a box. Turn that sadness into something else “motivation”. 5. Think about the good memories. The people you know 100% love you or the things that make you happy. 6. Laughter is a good medicine. Watch a cheesy stupid comedy like Dum or Dummer. I like the brick scene of Home Alone. 7. Talk to someone who knows how it feels. Talking to someone who went through the same experience can brighten up your day. Knowing you’re not alone. A therapist or talk/cope group are good resources.

^everything he said plus some extra points.. 8. Watch some light comedy or rom-com animes or movies 9. Ecchi-animes help a lot 10. Play eroge 11. Play any mmo 12. Eat pizza or any other swiss cheese product 13. Eats loads of chocolate and drink coffee 14. If you have some serious depression issue (not self diagnosed but diagnosed by a physician) then u can try taking anti depressant medication, if u fear the side effects or addiction possibility then there are lighter antidepressants also which doesnt cause addition, but ur physician probably have told u this if u were diagnosed by him.

It's honestly far more simple than you'd think. It's not easy, but it is a simple fix. Plan out what you want in life. What job you want, what hobbies you enjoy doing ect. Then work on getting, keeping or improving them. Everyday. Exercise too, That in itself will improve your mood somewhat. Eating a bit healthier can also assist. But when you're exercising an hour or two a day, Studying or working another six-eight hours a day, and if you don't have your dream job yet, working on it during your free time as well as making time for friends/family, You'll begin to realize there just ISN'T enough time in the day. And you'll be so busy, you won't even think about how depressed you are.

you find a nice friend to talk to every now and then when your feeling down. a friend that will positively support/reinforce/ sympathize with you as you dump your depression on them. Works for me. Oh ya, a new episode online of a current anime i like helps too ^^. like Nice'.. lol. Just what the doctor ordered'.

Occupy yourself with something. I don't really have friends nor anyone to talk to besides my girlfriend but I don't like the idea of putting my problems onto others. Don't stay indoors, crying, etc. Go outside and find something to do. Get some fresh air. If you stay indoors, you are only letting it sink in your mind further. It's good to take a few breaks from things but don't just lay there depressed. Do something about it. Sure, it's not easy but life isn't easy regardless so learn and improve.
