What brought you to MO?

I'm autistic so I thought... Maybe the otaku community would be more accepting of my social difficulties. I don't feel wanted a lot of the time in real life and struggle to make friends. I'd just like to make more friends, and to feel understood for my strangeness, I guess

I had a friend on here who said I should check it out. She doesn't come on anymore since she's already found someone but I've always enjoyed coming on here when I have the time to chill and talk to people.

Lol, I looked up "dating sites for anime fans" and this popped up. I didn't think this actually was a thing. I made an account because I thought it was funny as fuck, but in the end, I decided to keep the account because they are almost no anime fans at my school. I'm the weebiest of them all, and it's hard to talk to other anime fans, who have just started, and or have a completely different taste than me.

i joined because, at first, i really was interested in finding a relationship. but it's been such a long time that i'm a bit nervous, so right now i'm just here to make some friends. plus, it's hard to find other anime fans to talk to outside of the internet. and with people IRL, it's always a game of "will they judge me or think i'm weird?" if they find out about my interests. i've never signed up for anything like this before so i was really anxious and prepared to run off just as quickly as i had arrived, but the community here is so kind and welcoming that i'm actually really enjoying myself.
