Lost a friend I had for years recently due to dishonesty and toxicity. I'm not expecting an apology since this person will never admit to being wrong. I feel like the better person for having self respect but the memories flood back. It has been bumming me out the past few days and I'm trying to feel better about it but it's difficult.

@Shadowxlight I think that it is better if you try to accept this as a lesson learned. Learn from the person's mistakes and use those experiences to make sure that doesn't happen again. My dad has used my feelings to gain my trust before and always ended up disappointing or betraying me. After years of thinking, I finally realized that my dad doesn't control who I am. YOU are the only person who can choose who/what controls you.

You're absolutely right. We control ourselves and know right from wrong. It's unfortunate how people manipulate you but like you said lesson learned.

Well, first time posting on something like this but here I go Recently I lost someone who I held dear to my heart, her and I had been together for about 2 and a half years. Recently without warning she just told me we are done, that we aregue to much when she is free. But looking back we only argued once while she was free. She has since not talked to me no matter what I try. She won't answer texts, skype messages, or facebook messages. Recently I have tried to get a hold of her again, because I have so many questions. But she still won't answer to anything and now I am struggling daily because I can't keep myself busy to keep her off my mind. It has been all I can think of recently to a point where I am losing sleep, and getting sick. And I just don't know what to do. Lastly I don't have really anyone else to talk to about it. She was literally the one person I talked to on the daily and I feel ashamed trying to bring it up because everyone always told me to not be with her, and all they do is say "Sorry" but don't know how to help.. Sorry for a lot being said I just need help.. I made the mistake of basing things around her. To a point where I was even going to go to a college she was in and only ever opened up to and felt comfortable talking to..

@socialcomplex Okay, so I think that this situation is similar to shadowxlight's but on a deeper scale. Here is my advice for you, social -san, based on my experience with girls: I honestly didn't know how to get over a crush of mine that I have had for these 4 years in high school but I did the following things....First, I searched deep within myself during that time and talked to my mom countless times. Then I started to avoid the thing or person that made me feel depressed or negatively about myself. Thirdly, I mentally asked myself questions that are related to my past experiences. I finally realized that if there are people who leave your life, it means that there is another person waiting out there for your love and attention. And like I said to shadowxlight, take this as a lesson learned and use those experiences to make sure the past doesn't repeat itself. Side note: You both have separate lives and choices. If she wants to leave you for whatever ridiculous reason, that's HER decision not yours. You, however, have to decide whether to live in the past for the rest of your life or move on to a brighter future.

@Loli First off, you need to ask yourself,"Why do I have feelings for her in the first place?" and then look for another girl with those qualities. If that doesn't work, well, talk to a physciatrist

It's not that bad. Loving someone sexually, even if they're in your family, isn't something to be ashamed of. Only thing that matters in relationships is if both sides agree (and are of legal age ;v)
