Why do guys like stoner films?

Why do guys like stoner films? I can understand guys laughing at toilet humor and sex jokes, but what's so funny about seeing a guy get wasted, drunk, or high? I watched Ted for the first time this weekend and I only laughed twice. So men of MaiOtaku, please tell me why these movies are so funny to you guys. I'm just trying to understand men a little better.

can i answer even if im not a guy ?? i think stoner films are really funny specially if you tried smoking up yourself. you see yourself in the characters and go "huh i must look as stupid as this dude when im high" !! the old stoner films are funnier than new ones. i like half baked and pineapple express XD XD

Ok, so I just watched Ted 2. I liked it better the original Ted probably because there was less stoner comedy in it than the first film. Overall I still don't get the appeal of stoner comedy, but who am I too judge. I've watched South Park and have only seen a few funny moments as well. I prefer Family Guy and The Simpsons.

It helps to have at least partaken in illegal substances to understand the comedy lol. Personally I love them but only under a "certain" mindset and with certain people. I think the comedy comes from being able to relate to the situations. Obviously if you can't relate it's not really funny.

For me there funny just due to the dumb silliness like Cheech and Chong. Best stoner movies ever.
