Did you learn from breakups?

After 5 years of a long distance relationship, I learned that there needs to be more communication, and some sort of physical contact. Love is wonderful and all but there has to be chemistry and to be fair and honest to both people. Honestly. When it comes to long distance relationship I could go 3 years without hearing your voice/ seeing your face. I'm that much of a patient guy, but there has to be communication, trust, and honesty.

I recently went through one and I have to say that I learned that if you don't talk about the issues then nothing can be solved. It is hard to convince someone to talk who isn't willing to talk about the problems.

Never get attached to someone and push your ideals on them. They will suffocate and begin distancing themselves from you. And at the same time, do not date or be in a serious relationship with someone you know nothing much about. Their past might shock you. And you might begin wondering if you really did pick the right person to be with.

I agree with Rozu. Both people have to be open to each other...though it may take some time for introverts. Patience is also a great thing to have when in a relationship.

I learned nothing, because I have never been in one. At this point that might be a good thing too. :P

I learned not to be myself. My usual self ruins everything.
