You're welcome. That gives you a powerful CPU and an entry level GPU good enough for most games, a decent HDD and sound card

An entry level GPU is good enough for what she's asking to do dude. Don't push the envelope.

That graphics card is pretty weak, she doesn't really need a 980 but your choice is hardly great for newer games. I would still suggest a 960 or 970.

A 970 might be the right halfway point for her. But you can ALWAYS just upgrade later, it's not a big deal.

Does it support Wifi out of curiousity?
xiao_hu
Yeah, well its actually enough to play Fallout 4 at 30FPS - I don't personally use it because I have a more powerful card I got for free, but it works well enough for what she's asking, Fallout 4 is not very graphics hardware intensive, I can play it on an HD4000 allocated 512MB RAM. And no, but you can add a wireless card. Really for a desktop wired connection is best.

There's internal wireless cards (which is the better choice), or the plug-in USB ones, which are cheaper but not as fast. I had to use a USB one while waiting for a new network card to be delivered, so I can say from experience that the USB ones aren't terrible. This is all assuming that you already have a wireless router. If not, you need to pick one of those up too. But again, as with either network card, they aren't really expensive.

I play Fallout 3 and can probably play Fallout 4 too with my cheap laptop integrated graphics but it would be lots more fun with all the eyecandy turned on to max. Btw, getting a new computer myself soon too.
