Why did you join MaiOtaku?

theres not many good forums and i was banned from a forum i liked a few weeks ago. i talk to a girl from there with email though. my email is sorupet@icloud.com i need more friends and i just got a good phone, its cool knowing you get mail right away. noone going to add me lol

I guess initially I joined to possibly find love and romance with someone with similar interests, since in my area, the amount of nerds over here is very small, even smaller are nerd girls. But I digress, it was the initial reason but as I started to look around the site, I realized this was also a great place to make some extra friends who have similar interests. It's always fun to discuss games and anime and just shoot the breeze.

I also joined this site to find friends but I'm not sure about this site now as I'm not sure who genuine anymore some of the questions some post ask are weird while others seem to friend you then ignore you obversely not everyone on hear ?

A mix of curiosity and boredom. There are other online anime communities, like the anime subreddit. But I've been trying to venture away from reddit in general, as while r/anime is nice, the overall trend on the defaults is a steep steep decline in quality and discourse.
