Not to be an ass or something, but why should I be informed that What-his-face commented on someone's profile or on the forums if I've never even talked to them? I'm also really not interested in following entire conversations between different people. :/

Yeaah, that's the thing: I even see messages of people I'm not friends with.

Nope. Even when I had only 2-3 people on my friends list I kept getting updates of people I've never even talked to. :/

I'm kinda with this idea. I'm not interested in reading other people's conversations. If it was like a facebook 'wall", I can kinda understand, but... it's like I'm at a restaurant and I keep overhearing somebodies conversation.
