*opens dictionary and searches frantically for its definition* *reaches page, and reads...* Life-(laif): IDK!!!!! Why you gotta ask me that bruh, I am but a dictionary. Synonyms: Short, Exciting, Fun, Sad, etc. Used In A Sentence: Life is too short not to enjoy, so do it while you can. *closes dictionary* *lives rest of life without questioning it again*

Thank you all for the answers. I asked more in a reflexive side, not biological or what the word means. Maybe I've mispelled the words. But thanks anyway. The perverted ones too, although I prefer other parts... X) It's kind of a existential crisis of mine, and I wanted to know what you folks think about life to give me a wider vision of the thing. I see that everyone has a different meaning, and some similar to each other. Life itself is like a riddle; infinite choices, infinite possibilities, an infinite universe, various lifeforms, known and unknown, evolution... It's just so huge that sometimes I feel lost and my acquaintances don't care much about this or say things like "life is to worship God and go to heaven", monotonous stuff... Thank you, folks.

What's terrible is having those conversations with people who want a home and family. But my questions to those persons was always, "Then what? What happens after?" Anyone can have kids and make a family. It's just not in me to see those things as the end all. As far as I'm concerned I walk this world alone and if someone comes for the ride, great, hope they're looking to have fun before it's over.

I agree with most of you. The closest thing that I can come to a meaning of life is the advice to just enjoy yourself in everything you do. By enjoying life to the fullest you may even rub off on other people and live on in their memories. That's a pleasant thought in itself.

There are several school of philosophy that would answer your question differently. For so many great schools of thought to have a different opinion means there really is no universal meaning. You may perceive reality and meaning in a completely different way than a boy who grew up in an Amazonian tribe. Long story short, your perception is based off of intertextualism; or rather the interlinking words or text that flows through the world randomly and prints itself upon each person uniquely. For example, if you grew up reading books or seeing people act as if killing another person is a soul tearing event that forever mars your heart, then if you went into war you would be psychologically torn by what you had to do, because you have been imprinted to act a specific way. On the other hand, if you grew up in a tribe where spearing a man was something you did even as a child and saw it every week or day. If killing another man was simply part of your life then you would not be psychologically broken when that person is impaled on your spear. The "text of life" shapes people differently which means the very meaning of their life is going to always be different than another person's. Soon as you realize you are a product of your environment, and think the way you do because of external stimuli... then you will probably be able to drop the question of the meaning of life entirely and pick up a new question instead. What can I do to make a life I would be happy to leave when I pass away? Everyone dies, but not everyone lives. Abandon the non-universal questions, and get to the meat of what you really want to do that makes you feel alive before death reaches you.

There are many means to life, yes more then just one. Honestly you be stupid to believe there is just one, well anyways. Some are simple and some are more complex. Explains of simple ones are "Live life to the fullest of your own ability" "Life is simple don't complex for no reason when you don't have to." Some explains of more complex are "All is one and one is all" "Love."
