The Legend of Zelda

With what game did your legend begin and how old were you? The first TLoZ game I ever played was Phantom Hourglass when I was about 10 years old ^-^

Ocarina of Time was my first one, I don't remember how old I was but I remember my first playthrough oddly enough. I've played every title in the series up until 2006 or 2007, I absolutely love the series. Wind Waker is probably my favorite.

I played the very first Zelda on my NES back with it came out in 87/88'. I was like seven or eight. Besides those aweful CD-i games, I've played all of them since and there's maybe 2 I haven't beat.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Legened of Zelda games are overrated? Yes, I've played one of them, never beat it and I have no intention of ever doing. Why? Because I just don't care. Sure, the jokes, references and trademark theme music are great and they're not lost on me. And yes, the game has my respect for sticking around for as long as it has. I won't deny it's popularity among old and new fans of the franchise the world over. That's awesome. Good for you, Legened of Zelda. Now, heres what else I have to say. If you want my opinion (and I know you all don't) The Legened of Zelda franchise is just sticking around. Its that one worker that actually likes working extremely late hours and his boss is taking pitty on him and saying "Ok, LOZ. You've worked hard enough. Go on home to your wife and kids." "No! There's still work that needs doing!" the Legened of Zelda says as security gaurds unsuccessfully try to drag it away from its desk with it's boss standing off to the side with tears in his eyes thinking "God bless you, LOZ!" I'm not making an Old Yeller reference here because the Legened of Zelda isn't old and tired and needs to be taken out back and shot. It is however getting along in years. I think it should have one more good ol' ffarewell tour and after that, it move to that beach front property it bought about five years back, retire and live comfortably for the rest of it's days Ya know? The Legened of Zelda probably want's to do just that but in the age of game/movie remakes and remasters, it just doesn't have the time to do the things it probably want's to do. Forever forced to dream about that beach front property it could be relaxing in. Have I lost you yet? No? Congratulations! Your a smart person! Good for you. for those of you who don't get it, here's the short and sweet version of what I said. The Legened of Zelda is getting old, and boring to hear about. I feel LOZ has run its course and no matter how elegantly it ages (and it has) it can't make me care about it. There are other games I'd rather play but while I'm in the middle of playing said game, some randomer will walk up and say "What the hell are you playing? This is wank! Why are you playing wank?!" I'd say "But I like playing Random Game Title 3." Then they'd say "That game's shit! SHIIIIIIIIT!!! You should be playing the Legened of Zelda! Play it now or I'll kill you with my Master Sword!" To which I'd respond with "Take you Master Sword and fuck off! I have radioactive lazers."

SNES's Classic: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Best 2D Zelda game ever.

I must have been 6 or something, I went to a neighbour's house to get babysitted and I played A Link to the Past (without much progression, sadly). After that my first "real" Zelda experience is Minish Cap when I was 10. And my favourite is OoT.

I actually just found out about how awesome Zelda is, about 3 months back. Downloaded link to the Past and I was stunned at how easy it was to feel like Link xD
