Mongolian Chop Squad (BECK)

Mangas even better. Harold Sakuishi is a gifted story teller and artist. I think in terms of the anime it was really well directed. It looked and felt like an anime version of the velvet underground. They made it feel super indie and it was quiet. That direction choice really made me feel like Koyuki was only truly happy around Maho or when playing music. As for the manga it was great and ended great. Currently Sakuishi is drawing a manga called Rin. It's about a manga artist and explores the spiritual side that Beck ended up doing towards the end. I too hope that gets an anime seeing as the markets gone up. However we rarely get talky seinens turned into anime. Fingers crossed.
