I'm in your exact situation, down to every last bit, from past events to how I personally feel. I'm still haunted daily by my own emotions. But your efforts aren't for nothing, and you're probably not the problem. No one deserves to be cheated on, period. You just haven't met the right person yet, same could be said for friendships perhaps. Maybe you just need a small break from it all, to rethink things. But there's no need to give up hope, life will always have both good and bad moments. That's why it's important to hang in there. So you can pull through and experience the good moments.
