Well hey there, thanks for giving this little description of mine a read! Let me get all of the more interesting and relevant info out of the way first, then I'll move onto the more boring stuff, alright?
So, like the name of this site suggests, I'm here in hopes of maybe finding someone else here that's just as into anime and cosplaying as I am. It's one of my biggest interests, so I just think that it's pretty natural that I'd want to share that interest and joy with another person. I've been in anime since I was a kid and in the afternoons after school (back when toonami on cartoon network was still a thing), I used to watch all of the classics. By the time that middle school and high school hit, I had branched out into other shows and manga as well, although it wasn't just until recently that I got into cosplay, but I absolutely love it and look forward to increasing my line up of characters! Anyway, I definitely haven't watched everything that's out there, but I try to keep up with season line-ups and what-not as much as I can. Recommendations are always welcomed though, and I'm always willing to tell anyone about what I have/haven't watched, why I like certain genres and not others, etc. Same goes for just about anything/everything that I do, so feel free to ask any questions and I'll be happy to answer them!
Now onto the slightly more boring part, I'm a 22 year old undergraduate living in Northern NJ. I'm looking to get my BA in English Literature come Spring of 2017, and from there I'm -hoping- to go on for my Master's degree as well. My interests outside of anime and everything related to it, fall in the areas of books, literature, and learning. I've got a real heavy interest in most things to do with the 19th century and the Victorian era, so that's where a lot of my reading usually falls under. As a result, I do a fairly decent amount of reading, and that's kind of turned me into a hopeless romantic of sorts, but I don't mind. I guess that'll just mean that I'll have to try looking for a hopeless romantic as well.
