I don't know about living there, but I know I would LOVE to go there, but first... No. 1 Get a whole lot of money. No. 2 Learn japanese to blend in to the crowd. And No. 3 Find some buddies to bring along. Then I can go to japan, especially during cherry blossom season =.=

Yeah, I'm really skeptical f anyone that says they one to live in Japan with there only reason being anime.

I mean, I remember years ago being able to see tv channels from stations even in japan from here, with this huge ass satellite dish, but that was long ago, not usable anymore though... Just moving to japan for anime isn't a good enough reason, now for an education or a job is another matter.

Do NOT come to Japan if your only reason is anime. You will be sorely disappointed. It is true that there a lots of people here who like anime, and it's even advertised at great lengths. But people are not represented realistically in anime. You will not find the cutesy bubbly girl who acts stupid just to be cute. Actually, there are some girls like that, but more than likely it's because they are paid to imitate anime. People here in Japan, especially Tokyo, are more stringent, keeping to themselves people. They don't like small talk, and pretty much try to ignore you if they can (definitely if you are gaijin). However, there is a LOT to love about Japan. I live in Japan, and I love it here. Because it's a challenge. I have to speak another language and learn new things to be accepted as a person of Japan. I get to experience cultural events that never happen in the US. Overall, Japan is a great place unless you are only expecting anime qualities.

If Japan is anything like Taiwan in the summer, which I'm sure it is since they're right by each other, summer would be insanely insanely horrible (super hot and super super humid). And if they're anything like Taiwanese people, then they probably don't embrace the air conditioning as much as Americans do.
