I have an insane fear of failure. Failing someone or not being good enough at something I like doing is failure to me. I'm afraid of dissapointing or letting anyone down. It really messes with my head when that happens and I can't function or think straight. I also have a fear of hurting people. Physically or emotionally. When I was a child and when I was growing up I used to have a very explosive temper sometimes people would get hurt but as I grew older, by age 6 I had my temper under control and now it takes a lot of stuff to make me angry. Someone calling me names or punching me wouldn't make me angry anymore, it's happened so that's why I said I can control myself. I also have a phobia of bugs, don't want to get into that long history. I'm also afraid of sex I think? I kind of have an aversion to it and prefer not to have it unless I am willing to give my life for the person I am with. Not going to get into that long history as to why either.

@Liz, I also get really freaked out when I think about being alone and my own mortality/ the eventual death of people around me. It's the cause of many of my panic attacks.

I have pretty bad arachnophobia just thinking of spiders makes me itchy Someone told me that you're never 6 ft. away from a spider which may or may not be true but it's enough to make me paranoid.

@hoodedfang Yeah, I'm actually also a bit afraid of high speeds (one of the reasons why I always drive under the speed limit..) It just feels wrong going so fast because you have less time to react to things. @PsychoMob~ I'm also afraid of hurting people, be it physical or emotional, though I believe it is because I'm such a huge people pleaser...

I have two fears, one the fear of centipedes which is chilopodophobia as a kid and still currently although I have gotten better with it. The other fear would be certain other insects such as the mantis. Overall though best way to combat fears is moderate exposure in a safe controlled environment done gradually over a period of time, with other techniques depending on the severity. Creating a checklist to work your way up to facing it helps as well.

I am extremely afraid of bees. If I see one, I don't care where I am or what I'm doing, I'll run away from there. I also have a phobia of losing someone I care about.
