Weimar Republic. We haven't had a war in Germany in less than a 100 years yet people act almighty. And when was it that the iron curtain was lifted? Ah, right. Less than 50 years. Same with democracy. The old Greek went centuries with democracy... And it broke many times after shorter periods in more recent history. Yet we are so sure that OUR democracy will never fade. People are not more clever. Evolution doesn't catch up as fast as our ego. As of modern wars... They are fought right this second. EDIT: Though it's in my nature to be cynical. Maybe, yes, maybe there won't be a war in this conflict. But I doubt it. I just hope it won't happen in the near future.

You did. "German people". What I said is applyable to any nation though.. Excluding the specific examples. I wish to do that just the same but it's not all sugar and rainbows sadly. Though for me this was enough depressing talk for a day. So I'm just gonna leave it at this.

Truth is Republics and Democracies are warmongering states as well, America especially these days. So many Proxy Wars, Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, ect. Man has never really grew up, they just transformed into modern intricacies. I can only see violence coming against the Refugees, Golden Dawn, Pegida, Afd, NDP, UKIP, National Front, Jobbik, Forza Nuova.. and all the regular people in between, just to name a few are ready to take Europe back. All in all this is a perpetual cycle, that will go on forever in this reality. But as for the Refugees again, Should Europe become Third World just to accommodate for their needs? I don't see that happening.

My text was only relating to your "people are clever enough now" part. :)

In terms of the UK, I actually agree with the pigfucker for once, I'd rather import actual Syrian refugees in a manageable sizes via boats from actual refugee camps in Syria than open the flood gates for any and all to come in. Really, after hearing horror stories from Sweden and Germany I don't really know what to think, no love loss about keeping Calais airtight though.
