Myths About Intelligence, IQ and Being "Smart"

Transmission is not hard if its rear wheel drive, to be honest. With drum brakes here's how I do them: Spray penetrating oil on the rim of the drum and around the studs. Grab a sledge hammer. Beat on the drum several times, rotate, beat it again and again until it slides off easily. Retract the wheel cylinder. Remove brake shoes and springs, put new ones in. Use high temp antiseize on the drum contact points so it doesn't rust in place again. Seat it with a few hammer smacks and voila, done. Luck has it that both my cars have disc brakes in the rear. Not so bad honestly and easier to get off if stuck.

I prefer disk brakes myself. I did exactly that, too. Then I had to bleed the brakes.

You don't have to bleed the brakes unless you introduce air into the system. Bleeding, the hardest part is to not break a rusty bleeder.

Yeah, for some reason air did get into the system and I'm unsure how, but I could guess. So, it was okay. Oh, and to get us back on the topic. Some people think that IQ and EI don't correlate. But, I've found with my I have extremely high EI and high IQ. Like, my friend and I got into Mensa. She's 160 and I'm 145. We both also have high EI but my EI is much higher :P She's kind of like "I know how you feel, I just don't care. Also, I am a little awkward." I think it has to do with my lack of expressing myself due to my depression, but I spend more time reading other people more than I do expressing myself. Maybe that whole thing about people that are good listeners talk a lot less. EI not EQ brain is broken tonight.

I took an I.Q. test after I graduated highschool and scored a 140 on it. At that level you are on the cusp of being labeled a "genius". However I think it's all a grey area. Sure, I can learn a very specific thing very quickly compared to other people, but there are a variety of factors. First, I'm lazy. I don't put as much effort into learning as I should. Secondly, I am a terrible multi-tasker and I forget things easily. Personally I think my rapid-fire intelligence is poor to say the least. There are many forms of intellegence and I just score high in one of those aspects. I'm also poor at social skills compared to my mom who is so good at talking to people she could sell a paper bag with a brick in it. Heck, I'm even bad at retaining knowledge I learn :P

Multitasking isnt a measure of intelligence. Nobody can truly multitask well - it has been shown to exponentially increase errors.

IQ doesn't measure how smart you are. It only tells you how smart you can be. Talent is useless if you don't put an effort into developing it. As for myself I'm 168, but I'm so damn lazy and unmotivated to do anything unless I really have to that it doesn't even matter lol.

It only tells you your learning ability - anyone can be as smart as, say Einstein, but not everyone is equal when it comes to ability to do so. Also you must be on the other scale, translating that down is somewhere like... I think 135 - not bad at all.

if your always studying getting smart your just exersizing one part of your brain, theres the other part that you wil forget how to use. i could gues the write time and stuff because i wasnt going to school and i make my own school. if someone tells me to do something i wont do it. my brain is crap though, im not drinking no more. need to get away from people that make me mad, thats not helping anything.

Naturally I always get different results on different tests. The number I said is an average value in the middle. The range being between my worst and best results. Though when I tried other scales, and translated them into the one that I usually use. The results were way off and inaccurate. So yeah...I find it fun that there's a measure like that. However it's not very reliable. The only legit way to find out how good you are, is from experience.
