I have heard some stories in my time here. Some ended well and others ended not so well.

Haven't found anyone yet either, but like Elder and Cecil already mentioned, the most difficult part is the fact that for every 10 boys here who are seriously looking for a girlfriend, there's probably only 1 girl who's also on this site for dating purposes. The ratios are that skewed unfortunately. Personally, I don't like getting involved in competing against multiple other people for a particular girl's affection (i.e. The Bachelor) because as we all know, love triangles all end up with at least 1 person in tears at the end. Maybe I'm being too laidback in my approach, but after trying other dating sites and not finding anyone who matches my interests (Match.com, eHarmony, etc.), I figure that eventually some girl will stumble upon my Otaku profile here and if she likes my description, then perhaps she'll send me a message. After all, my thought on signing up here was that I have a better chance finding someone who likes Anime on an Anime dating site, than searching on a regular dating site, where 90% of the girls there don't like Anime, video games or cartoons of any kind. Also, I don't think long distance is a large factor here; if two people in love really want to make their relationship work, they'll find a way; it's just a matter of finding the right person. :)

I think the problem is that most (That's the majority aka guys) are either way to aggressive, creepy, stalkerish or have their hopes way so high that they pass up those who don't meet their "criteria". Ya know, the ones who think anime is how life should be. There are plenty of men/women and boys/girls on here, believe it or not. I most certainly had a chance a while ago, but I'm currently in a relationship and as such, that disqualifies me from speculation and assumption as to why it has or hasn't worked here.
