Yeah, agree with neet-one, if you want to prepare for something, prepare to avoid car accidents and heart attacks, cause those are big killers. Terrorists are small fries.

If the Daesh came to my town, I am packing a gun so I'd simply shoot back. If I see someone suspicious with a coat covering a suicide bomb ( likely ) I'm going to make them freeze and remove their jacket. If I see a suicide vest, shoot then in the head.

Letting thousands of terrorists into the county? Like Timothy McVeigh killing 168 people, including almost 20 kids? Or Christopher Dorner who wrote a manifesto urging asymmetric warfare against cops? Eric Rudolph who hurt some 100+ people in the course of 4 bombings? Not to mention the historic institutions of the Klan or Black Liberation Army. There is a moderate threat from Islamic extremists as "terrorism" is now popularly defined. But the truth is there's little you can do when the guy in line next to you decides to eat some C4 and then set it off with his cellphone. You practically can't carry enough guns to stop a bullet. You can do your best to not give people like that a reason to exist in the first place. In short, to prepare for the Isis attack just live as you have been. No slight is more insulting and demoralizing to your enemy than to be ignored. As New York proudly displays, there is no damage they can cause that can't be erased.
