Your friend is a racist, now what?

Yaashat, I didn't mean it's a cop out. I mean if you grow up hearing someone curse someone out because they are something they are not, it leaves an impression on you. More so if it starts at a young age. You copy what you see. You are speaking of nature, I am speaking of nurture. As for using the word race. Most people think race is the bloodline group you are in, and don't realize that is your ethic group. So if you ask someone what their ethic group is they might take a while to answer while if you ask what their race is they will answer right away. Our society has confused the terms so much that No one normally knows one from the other.

To be fair, in the strictest terms of race and ethnicity, it doesn't mean the same thing. People of the same race (biology term) share genetically transmitted physical characteristics. People of the same ethnicity (sociology term) share cultural, linguistic, religious, and often but not always racial characteristics. Like some generations of minorities who were raised in the United States would classify themselves as Americans rather than their country of origin due to not sharing the same ethnical traits other than morphology. Ultimately the genetic differences between all the races are so small (skin color, skeletal structures, etc.) that a lot of scientists don't really classify humans that way anymore but yeah, we're all the same species but technically not the same race.

I am racist myself, so not a big deal. If everyone is free to love whatever he wants, he must also have the right to hate whatever he wants.

smh why hate a specific group for no reason just give one good reason other than they do this or they do that cause your basing the actions of one or a couple individuals and assuming everyone is like that. either that or your just carrying on that same hatred your parents had. get over it your wasting your time on hating someone else, who knows, that same person you hate could have been your best friend but you decided to make an enemy out of them. its people like you that prevent us from moving forward imagine where we could have been if racism wasnt a thing

I noticed a thread on racism, and that it moved me deep within my heart to see people like myself. I mean, what's wrong with hating people who aren't like you? I don't like otherkin or furries. Or bronies. And especially, I do not care for mimes, ballerinas, clowns, or glistening muscly men (I'm afraid they will butt rape me)
