Its not Communism, its forcing users to use a standards compliant browser.

IE uses a rendering engine called Trident - its a terrible rendering engine known to break complex HTML, CSS and renders everything slightly different. Its bullshit and that's why MS is getting rid of it.

Funny enough, the error with chat in IE was because IE was the only one to adhere to a specific standard in this one situation.

> IE was the only one to adhere to a specific standard That isn't a standard - that's a proprietary 'feature' Standards have to be open. > most ppl use firefox anyway Actually more use more Chrome. Firefox is like 33%, Chrome like 40% and IE is the remainder, so like 27%. Out of that remainder, I doubt people would discontinue use of the site. Maybe just a warning that he doesn't support IE and that users use it at their own risk would suffice.

Nope, it was the IndexedDB standard. IE refused to accept a nil value, which the standard says it's supposed to refuse, so it acted right.

>Nope, it was the IndexedDB standard. IE refused to accept a nil value, which the standard says it's supposed to refuse, so it acted right. Should file a bug report with Google and Mozilla then. Still, on my sites I'm gonna block IE and lead users to a page explaining WHY I am blocking it.
