Weirdest Anime

I love Mysterious Girlfriend X. It's definitely odd, but I'd say more just mildly surreal than absurd/weird. Kinda like if Korine tried making an anime, especially during the Mister Lonely era. Lain doesn't really have a single purpose/message for the viewer to understand, it was mostly just trying to merge more experimental pomo themes with anime, which worked out kinda well. I'm also pretty sure a lot of Lain was ripped off of Videodrome, so maybe that helps explain it. Though it's definitely pretty weird. I guess Cat Soup and Yuasa's other stuff (mostly Kemonozume) are some of the weirdest animes I've seen just because they aim to be weird for no other purpose than weirdness itself. I think Nichijou did the same thing, it was just presented differently.

Nichijou. It includes a randomness and a WTF moments galore. Same goes with Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. Bumbing Arakawa, it really is weird and funny! I haven't seen your one though, gonna check it out @akise_aru79 it was Nisemonogatari ^^
