Lolicon and morality?

@Saya once again your words amaze me. Idk what came over me before but I agree, the people who do these things are the problem. Not the sources.

Digital, people lived roughly the same life spans as we have now. 21% in 1900 lived to 50, 14 to 60 and 9 to 70, vs now 29, 21, 14 respectively. A jump, yes, but only ~7% in each. Small conitering the advancements in medicine

I agree heavily with what Saya is saying. It's sadly becoming this type of a society, but why on earth do we have to keep catering to people like this? It feels like we're growing soft, and I'm not condoning any of the serious issues like rape, violence, child porn, but lets face it, there are all things we like and dislike. We can get offended by our dislikes, but banning crap isn't the way to go about things. I tolerate listening to high school girls talk about crap I don't care about in a restaurant when I want to eat my meal in peace and quiet. Why? Because not only did I go out to a place that's filled with people, but we have free speech. They can say what they want, and if I really wanted to, I could get up and yell at them to shut up, but I don't. That's because they have free speech. I chose to go and sit in a busy place to eat my dinner, and people are allowed to talk. So all I can do, is just be quiet and tolerate it, even if it annoys the living hell out of me. Also, don't mistake this for complacency. I will stand up for issues that I can't keep silent on, and will speak my mind and opinions, but I can't control the thoughts and minds of others. As fellow cognitive human beings, they can, and will, do as they please. This is why sometimes we're our own worst enemy

you said pre 1900 and I'd like to see your source.

Jikoshy- People always try to bring up the "Well they lived shorter lives" argument, but you are right in that the lifespan difference really isn't that huge. In most societies, for thousands of years, the age of consent (which was pretty much the age of marriage) was decided by mother nature. "Old enough to bleed = Old enough to breed" Only in recent times with our confused sexuality and obsession with youth have we pushed up the age of consent more and more. A few decades ago (only around 30yrs) the age of consent in Deleware was 12 and New Mexico was 13 and several other states was 14. Now it's 16-18 in all states. Also as I recall It used to be 13 in Japan. Only since the computer age and the average public (and children) gaining the ability to have access to child porn at home has the issue exploded. I remember the TIME article in the early 90s that started it all.

So Vampire Neko, you are suggesting that society lower the age of consent?

I'm suggesting we educate children better instead of enforcing a level of naivety that really only benefits adults by allowing them to hide from reality by vicariously living through their children. Children these days end up learning about sex and sexuality more from the internet than anything which is not very healthy. Because it doesn't teach them about emotions or maintaining a healthy romantic relationship Children know more about sex than ever but are much more immature than ever in certain ways. Primarily because the focus is too much on the act of sex as physical pleasure and so many people are almost emotionally retarded. We don't have a healthy balance in modern society.

As long as there is no actual sex in it, I don't mind it.
