I don't get it either just because I like watching anime and manga. I being isolated by the group when they ask me what I like to do each day. I went to a party and people ask my hobby and when I answer them. They treated me like non existence. After I lost my only love one, I feel no true love. Just today I was talking with my classmate discuss about the presentation in Facebook, her boyfriend butt in the conversation and being mean to me. I don't know what is wrong with this world. People are mean to me when I watch anime treated like some nerd. They despise me for watching anime. I cannot have my own hobby too. What worse is when some people compare American cartoon as anime. They don't know anything about it and try to call me childish. Being childish at least better than them, a hyprocrite.

Just Remember Animefood, we are now in the age of the Geek. Being an otaku or just an anime/game lover is become more and more accepted. Times has steadily progressed to the point where have a large collection of anime and manga is the norm and actually kind of cool. Also, if they call you Childish for watching and enjoying anime, remind them that its adult that are producing and creating these series, just like those that make normal television series. Its all the same just delivered in a different concept.
