@Loli-Chan HAHAHAHA it happens... the heated up part, idk so much about the thirsty guys. cuddling up with a special someone and watching reruns of Cowboy bebop sounds like an awesome night to me, in my humble opinion

excuse me? Im a nerd as well, personally i dont think you should be on a dating site talking about nothing but other womens body parts and referring to women as bitches every 30 seconds. My standards are not to high. you must have a high school diploma. a job or in schooling. This is from a person who has her own house, own car,a career. I do not ask for anything that I cant physically achieve myself. and Ive been here over a year, i just started my new account and deleted my last one. personally if a high school diploma is too high of a standard, I don't want to be with someone that thinks that or doesn't have the willpower to obtain one.

Hmm there's no need to exaggerate and nobody did anything of the sort on the website correct? Anyways good on you that you've done so well, that is a bit intimidating so some guys might be put off. The biggest problem I always find is location. When I actually do talk to someone or meet someone I genuinely like they are too far to consistently spend time with which is a big hassle. Finding someone you click with by itself is hard enough but if you add in factors like they must like this, or dislike that, live within x amount of minutes/hours and whatever else the chances of finding someone special go from slim to none. If you've been here that long and have honestly found nobody worthy sure it's discouraging but there are new people joining every day. Trying to find someone special is rough, especially if you've been in a relationship before and now have this void that seeks intimacy. Either way venting is fine but being genuinely angry or upset isn't going to solve the problem. Isn't everyone searching for that someone? Some people stay alone, some settle, love like pretty much everything in life is pretty shitty unless you do something about it yourself. Not like that's good advice buuuut it's the best I can come up with *shrug*

Hmm I am going to have to disagree with the first comments of this thread from you. But I will get to that eventually to stay on topic in regards to the problem you have. The whole friendzone thing is pretty common regardless of what site or anything really. This site definitely has more people becoming friends then anything else but that does not mean relationships are not formed on here. I know a few that have been and to put it simply its a matter of patience and presenting yourself to people making the attempt to and being stubborn about keeping at it. The thing with dating sites if you are new theres this whole possible mindset that you will get instant gratification in said relationship however that simply is not the case. I can guarantee you that there are people out there that would take interest in you if you put up enough effort yourself, what I cant guarantee is how long that might take. You have to ask yourself as well? Do I want a relationship that is fast forming or would I rather take a long time possibly to find the right individual. Both have cons and pros when you think about it because either can be successful if the right criteria are met based on the two individuals. Either way I say keep trying on this site if you are looking for the right person and willing to wait for that to happen. If not then it might be best to explore other social groups and such to increase said chances but thats your choice not mine. Now on to the other part, Guys acting immature in your view of them talking about said matter or nerds being "repugnant" for a better term are not really the case. I feel that you might have adventured into tinychat territory myself because I am almost sure I saw you on once. Usually they like to be random most of the time on there not being offensive and such. Tinychat especially ours is not really a dating feature I would say since all we do is talk randomly and rarely chat about romantic interest unless its just as a issue or something one person wishes to bring up. As for the forums well not everybody on mo can feel the way you do in regards to talking about womens body parts as you suggested. However I can definitely state with honesty that most or all the guys on here doing that are not the case. For all that maiotaku is I think it has done good for a anime dating site if not a social site. Perhaps not the best features but I have made good friends and so have others. People finding others on here does happen as mentioned but only if you are more then willing to go the extra mile and keep running that extra mile like forrest gump bland and cheesy reference to end my little chat. I think that will do.

Yeah, I get the feeling about this place too, unfortunatly...But you're right Yu. You've got to be patient and a tad bit stubborn to get results. I would definitely like a relationship forged out time more so than a flight of passing fancy. I am here to look for someone with the same interests capable of meaningful relationship. Then again, I may just be a hopeless romantic... Now my issue is that nobody seems to want to message back or get to know a soldier. Especially one that's still stuck serving in Afghanistan... I personally would like to take the time to get to know someone while I'm over here. That way, when do I get back, we can possibly have the option to meet and not be complete strangers. I'll have a bunch of leave saved up after nearly a year over here that I'll be able to go wherever I want for over a month! Allowing plenty of time for me to spend with that person if possible.

It's cool. She's gone. Everybody move on, nothing to see here. Whether or not she was or was not a good person, being friendzoned, whatever, she's gone now. No sense going on about it now. /thread

Southern girls usually do. Save a cowboy, ride a pony.
