What does friendship means to you?

jochon
A friend is someone you can both hate and love at the same time, whom also feels the same way towards you.

The definition of that word changes drastically when you get betrayed by your bestfriend, im sure someone has already said this, but you realize the frailty of every relationship that is not family or a GF/BF. My tip to anyone, no matter how well you know someone, if they arnt one of the things I mentioned, never get too close, never trust them. But im sure you got that already, sorry bakagami.

Friendship to me is a brotherhood that come few and far in between, but a "friend" to me is someone I wholeheartedly trust with my life and would die for. Trust CAN be earned, remember ~ one in perfection is no match for two in harmony.

People have different concepts of the word 'friend' as it means something different to someone else, but there isn't a right or wrong defination. I had friends at school, college and uni; I hardly talk to any of them anymore. But if I was to strike up a conversation, I know some of them would reply. No matter how many years has passed, you can talk to a friend as if you only last spoke yesterday. For me, a 'best' friend is someone who I can call at 3am in the morning if I need anything, and they know they can do the same to me.

The difference between a friend and an acquaintance (to me of course) is how they show up at my doorstep. I'll invite an acquaintance and they'll do the A,B,C step of being the least intrusive person I've ever met. A friend shows up relaxed and kicks back knowing I'm cool with his or her laid back demeanor. Unless they overthink or become weird about it, there's no stress in making friends.

The only difference between friend and acquaintance for me, is just the amount of time I spend with you. But generally, I take people at face value on a pretty equal regard. Haha I suppose I'm pretty free with the term friend

If I call you friend, you are like a brother or sister to me. My definition of a friend seems to be drastically different than most and really I'd rather have a few true friends than many acquaintances. I to consider myself faithful and willing to do just about anything for those whom come under my term of friend. I will not deny another who calls me friend,, but it may take me a while to truly call you a friend. Trust issues? What trust issues?:P
