Genderqueer?

From wiki: "Pansexuality, or omnisexuality,[1] is sexual attraction, sexual desire, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of all gender identities and biological sexes.[2][3] Self-identified pansexuals may consider pansexuality a sexual orientation,[3] and refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others.[4] The Oxford Dictionary of English defines pansexuality as, "not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regard to gender or activity".[5] The concept of pansexuality rejects the gender binary, the "notion of two genders and indeed of specific sexual orientations",[3] as pansexual people are open to relationships with people who do not identify as strictly men or women.[3][6]" What you are defining as Pansexuality is actually a variation on how many people use the term, that not only is gender irrelevent but physical appearance is too. I see where you are coming from but I wasn't suggesting most people are just being trendy in using terms like bisexual or pansexual, just that a few people do and have. Also I was expressing the opinion that omnisexual/pansexual isn't really needed as bisexual doesn't have te exclude variations of male/female. It can be assumed that if you like both male and female then you would probably like variation on both (transgender and such). Of course there are probably a few people who would identify as bisexual but not date someone of a variance like transgender and omnisexual/pansexual is more overtly inclusive but I think that in most cases it's just redundent.

Argh...hate my phone, had a bunch typed, got deleted. There is a huge LGBT community in Bloomington, IN where I spent most of my life and I've had more friends Identify as bi than anything. I never heard or saw the word pansexual used earlier than around 6-8yrs ago and I've been active in the online dating community for nearly 15yrs. When it was first being used I asked someone who identified as pansexual to define it (essentially being all inclusive of every gender variable). Also my most recent ex gf identifies as pansexual. It is almost invariably pansexuals who define bisexuality as excluding variations of gender, every bisexual I've know would disagee. "The definition of pansexuality encourages the belief that it is the only category that covers individuals who do not cleanly fit into the categories of male/man or female/woman.[2][6] However, bisexual-identified people may object to the notion that bisexuality means sexual attraction to only two genders, arguing that since bisexual is not simply about attraction to two sexes and encompasses gender as well, it can include attraction to more than two genders.[11][12] The Bisexual Resource Center defines bisexuality as "an umbrella term for people who recognize and honor their potential for sexual and emotional attraction to more than one gender".[12]" Oh, and I didn't say you specifically was using pansexual redundently just that most do. Your the first person I've known that didn't care about physical appearance at all but your type of sexuality falls outside of the definition of every other pansexual I've talked to.

A person knows what their sexuality and attraction is more than wiki IMO. If they tell me what their sexuality means to them, then I'll believe it and not question it...Unless they say they're only attracted to themselves, I might have questions for them... So I'll put more faith into Miya's variation than a wiki copy Just because I dislike others thinking they know you more than you do (I've had situations like that but that's for a different topic)

Hate phones, need a computer.... BTW, while I identify as straight since I'm attracted to the feminine both sexually and romantically. I would consider dating a sufficiently feminine mtf trans (Baily Jay for example) assuming there were sufficient pheremones to arrouse me in close contact.

Buji-I was arguing over the commonly used definition of pansexual vs bisexual as defined by every bi and pan I've known, not so much in Miya's case as she is uniquely different from any other pansexual I've known.
