People go after the Taken

Hmm... I like the carefree explanation most. @Tthedragon, online yes, but what I was talking about was out in the real world. Hmm, well, just the flirting part is a ego boost but when they don't leave you alone when you tell them you are taken, it can get REALLY annoying.

I think for a lot of guys in the real world, they don't really care or respect the boundaries of a relationship. They look at is as a badge of honor to take a girl from another guy, especially one who is in a committed relationship as sad as that sounds. Now to be fair, there are some women who openly complain about their significant other, and that could be construed as a sign someone who is in a committed relationship might be willing to dump their significant other for someone else if the right person came along. Not usually is the case, but I've seen it happen before. I think the majority of people do respect the boundaries of a monogamous relationship, or at least the ones who have their head on straight and know what they want. It's human nature to desire something you can't have, and people who tend to be in committed relationships can seem more desirable over all because of that fact. I've had my fair share of falling for women who are already taken which can be very frustrating, but you just roll with the punches and move on.

If I find out someone is taken after I started to try to make a relationship I back off end the advances and just more to being a friend. My crazy screwed up thinking is that if they are willing to break up or cheat on someone with me while they are in a relationship what's to say they won't do that to be, and I would rather like to think, why have one friend when I can have two friends if they are in a relationship.
