Athletic ... yay or nay? also dieting and body type

shadowdemonx9
Fighting sport? Or Fighting style? It all depends on what the person wants to learn and what they want to go through in order to learn it. I would recommend starting out with karate or tae kwon do if you're unsure of what you'd like to learn and see if you can get the basics down. My first fighting style was pressure point fighting. Then I adapted to the other ones.

Parkour always amazes me, sucks when people mess up doing it though. It just looks really painful at that point.

Hmm, well I'm only the second girl to answer :3 I like guys that are "skinnier" but not necessarily skinny, I also like muscular (but not scary muscular like body builders 0.0). My boyfriend is really ripped, though :) He has an 8 pack :0 I didn't know how muscular he was until we started dating XD Needless to say, I don't have a problem with it ;)

I work out everyday on my abs by drinking whiskey and eating fast food.

Oh~ and you wanted to know about diet stories :3 Well, since last September I've lost over 20 pounds! :D Anywho~ I actually did a lot of it unhealthily... basically anorexic there for a while. But I'm better now! And continued to lose wait after quitting that :) I exercise on a regular basis now and just eat healthily (not under 300 calories a day).

Average joe type of athletic. Nothing special at all. Running and some weights, but I never have time to hit the gym anymore (or until the end of the year after I get my second business degree) Walking is one of the easiest things to do and we all do it every day anyway. At anime conventions, the amount of walking you do can add up to a huge calorie burn during the weekend, over 30,000 steps a day, with like burning 8,000 calories through three days. Average of 30 minutes of exercise a day and smart eating (cutting bad carbs like sugars and high fructose corn syrup, keeping a decent calorie based on your weight and size) keeps you in decent shape. If you want to be fit, do NOT rely on a scale. Rely on a mirror.

"If you want to be fit, do NOT rely on a scale. Rely on a mirror" THIS. Yeah... the walking, seems like I need to go to more conventions then lol. In a year or so I expect to move to the big city with more sport opportunities. shadowdemonx9, I just wanne become good at fighting and get fit. competition isnt necessary for me.
