Opinions On Long Distance Relationships

I think @Alexis said it best. It can work, but you really can't stay far apart forever. Age, distance, financial situations, maturity, trust, etc can really play a role in it. It can be tough for some people just to pick up their lives and move halfway across the country for a relationship. I know it would be pretty difficult for me to do that right now despite being a working adult.

I imagine it would be tough in the long run, especially if there's a time difference, but if you're both determined, then hey, it'll be a breeze. Find a time to Skype or call that's a suitable time for both of you, be online on time for a chat date, don't get drunk and call them. Talk to each other, about what u both like, interests, how your day was, how you're feeling, about life in general, you dreams, GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER. Laugh together, share stories with them. If both of you are committed enough to meet each other once in a while w/e, meet each other, spend a day at home or go out to do something that's fun for the both of you. If I ever end up with a LDR, I'd follow this advice.

I think its wonderful, Long distance relationship may have difficulties but in the end if you can endure it, its worth it! They work as long as you're both committed that is what I believe. :)

If your "both" serious about it (taking the potential cheating aspect out) and "both" engage in active means to be together not long distance in the future (effort towards plans current and active) then it will. Otherwise for someone its a battle of attrition.

I'm alright with it. As long as she stays true and we one day are able to be together i don't see anything wrong with that :). Most women i talk to are long distant so.... i kinda have to accept it. All women or most are either taken, don't like the stuff i do, or are just flat out whores sleeping with any guy they can that gives them stuff. I live in a very small town.

They never work for me. Just never. I get bored of it. I don't want to have some fantasy love over the internet where they are more attracted to my personality and an imaginary image of me then the actual real me in the physical world. I'm not going to get myself into that and the times I do by mistake I usually regret it or become distant just so that they can loose there attraction to me so I can call it quits. I'm not looking for love on the virtual plane I'm looking for it in reality. My mind isn't the one that needs the loving it is also my body and my self that needs it.

I think your right Lala chan but trust me it is very hard I've been a couple myself sad to say none worked though it was never me that called it quits its always the girl that does I always go out of my way to find time off from work and everything else to go see her so yea very hard to maintain
