Ahahahaha... XD Uhh... To avoid looking for someone perfect? Just go out and make friends with anyone. Hangout with people who are fun to be with, and maybe you'll realize you like spending more time with a particular person.

Well, serious talks are also important. I know with my friend group we mostly just goof off, but we also talk about serious things sometimes and support each other if we're having hard times. The same is important with relationships.
