The story takes place in the incredible city No. 6, a future model city in 2013.

In this lovely coming of age tale we see the young and adventurous Pico explore himself and his future during one mysterious summer. The series is composed of three OVAs that will keep you in tears and wanting more, each tale tells one story of Pico's summer as he tries to find who he really is and the conflicting nature we see between the departure of childhood and the entering of the teenage years.

Asahi Kuromine, a normal high school student who supposedly can't keep a secret, finds his demeanor quickly challenged when he spots his classmate, Yoko Shiragami, unfurling a large pair of wings from her back. He learns that Yoko is a vampire, and that she is only able to attend a normal school on one condition: no one must discover her true identity, lest her father drag her back home.

Hinata began playing volleyball after seeing the "small giants" who played the sport when he was in elementary school. He suffers a crushing defeat in his first and last tournament in middle school at the hands of his rival Tobio Kageyama.
