Thousands of years ago, mankind lost the majority of its technology and has only now begun to rebuild to an industrial civilization. The Moonrace decides it's time to return to Earth, and to fend off the invasion, the various nations arm themselves.

Universal Century 0079. The One Year War has raged on for almost nine months.

The great war between the Earth Federation and the Duchy of Zeon is almost over. At the neutral space colony of Libot, the Federation secretly constructs a powerful new Gundam mobile suit.

Several months after Nanoha first became a Magical Girl, she still is unable to personally meet with her new close friend, Fate Testarossa, who is being tried in the Space / Time Administration Bureau for her association in the Lost Logia case. Yuuno Scraia is a mage from a distant planet working to fix the problem he started when Jewel Seeds were accidentally spread around the world. In a failed attempt to seal a seed properly, he winds up on Earth in the form of a ferret.

Meet Louise, a budding magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise", due to her current record of zero successes with magic.

Three years of peace have followed the Earth Federation's victory over the Duchy of Zeon. Now in the year 0083, the last remnants of Zeon begin their plan for revenge by stealing a prototype Gundam armed with nuclear weapons.

The year is Cosmic Era 73. The Bloody Valentine War fought between the PLANTS space colonies and the nations of the Atlantic Federation has ended and an uneasy truce has settled upon the Earth sphere.

Sixty years after the curtain fell on Zeon, Earth once again finds itself threatened by a colonial uprising.
