What is the stupidest reason you've ever hated someone?

combatvoss
And do you still hate them? Is it fair to hold on to that hate for an unjustifiable reason? Seems to me that a lot of the time people just feel angry/annoyed/jealous/irritated/etc. over someone first and then try to justify those feelings later. You ever done that?

Most people have, But then again the concept of hate isn't purely a emotional basis. There are some finely rooted mechanics involved at least without the individual interfering and applying it to what situation they deem offensive. Such a shame, really though bound to our biological functions as always. Have I, yes and it was for naive and pointless reasons that of course at the present point of view I justified. Gotta love power play especially when your younger. Now in hindsight I look back and realize things would have been a lot smoother if I didn't attack the person per say the problem itself which for the most part I think is a rare thing now and days for the majority of us. It would take a lot for me to truly "hate" someone. Hate is a level of wishing ill-will on someone. To me, dislike would be a more appropriate word. If I had to pick one thing, it'd be egotistical or arrogant people. As silly as it is, something about them just makes me not want to interact or be around them. I've had friends in the past I stopped talking to and hanging around with in general for this reason. That being said, I don't want anything bad or negative to happen to them. I just personally don't want to be in their company.

Long ago I just hated someone who would pick on me. I could have acted the better person and let his words go by, but I gave them worth and that turned into hate against him. Time allowed me to see it was stupid to give power to his words, so I just let it go, and with it the hate went away, but it was a shame still to hold hate against someone back then. I did try to justify my hate but it proved futile, and Im glad it proved futile, it would be useless to keep hating someone.

Most of times it does as envy forces some to try and damage the source of it
