It was a 2d side scroller first. Then they came out with a 3d platformer on N64. I loved that game, it was one of my favorites.

Hogs of War on the ps1 when I was like 4 or something, I don't even remember playing the game all that much, just the intro movie and Rik Mayall's amazing voice-over of a pig

Super Mario Bros. 1 on NES brought home by my big sister. I was born just a few months before it was initially released in Japan, but first played it at like 4 in 1989, when Nintendo turned 100 years old back then.

The original Legend of Zelda on NES. I started playing when I was 2 or 3 and couldn't even read. But I learned to read quickly I think because I wanted to understand when nobody could read for me. LoZ have always been and will be one of my favorite series that holds a special place for me

My first game ever was probably Super Mario for the Nintendo 64. First portable game was Pokemon Crystal for the Gameboy Color. And first RPG that really got me hooked into gaming was Final Fantasy VIII. :)
