What's your favorite RPG?

Lynes, I see the appeal of that type of games! But I really must be dragged by the story to finish more slow games, like Persona 3, or have more interesting gameplay, like Child of Light! I'm really into games that makes me think, but, in the end, the most important key is reaction, just like the crazy jumps that sometimes happen in Portal/ Portal 2, or the quick controls needed in Rayman Legends, or even the timing to jump on Fez! But that's the gameplay part, I will always play different things, because the story is great, or because the graphics are different and pretty. :b

Yeah! sometimes fast paced action game can also make you have blast of time! I remember me and my friends go crazy for hours on halo 2! So much fun!

That reminds me there's some free halo multiplayer on PC, "Halo 5 forge" or something. That's what I remember reading last year though... EDIT - seems it is free but doesn't support multiplayer, just lvl editing I guess.

My favorite RPG is undoubtedly MOTHER 3. The game has so much humor and flavor packed into it that even the pseudo-random 'grind' battles feel fresh and non-repetitive like most other RPGs. It's insane how amazingly good the OST sounds on such awful and outdated hardware.

Star Ocean: The Second Story is undeniably not only the best RPG but best game of all time. I'm still searching for a game that beats its sheer quality in respects to the story, characters, and innovation.

Radiata Stories / Persona 4 / FF Tactics Others: Valk Pro Suikoden

Dragon Age is awesome. Purely awesome, but what's even better in my opinion is Mass Effect. God. I have lost sooooo many hours in the original trilogy, but none was wasted.
