Gaming Laptop

brasszombie
How much would you spend on a Gaming Laptop? We all know that anything you buy would be outdated in a few years so how much do you think is a worthwhile amount to invest in a Laptop to play games so that you do not feel bad getting rid of it in a few years?

I wouldnt recommend u to get a gaming laptop. I rather u get a gaming desktop , its better in the long run and its cheaper and u can get better quality parts. Find some shop that sell individual pc parts and build tgt for u and after a few years just change the parts which is normally just the gpu graphic card.

Unfortunately I need one for Work so I need to go Laptop. I do 3D Part Rendering so I am basically trying to find the right medium between function and cost.

I think $1k ~ $2k is a worthwhile investment in a gaming laptop, it'll last you long enough for you to invest in another laptop after 3~4 years.

if u can hit 2k i rather u get both. Like a mid tier laptop for work and 1 for gaming , its cheaper in the long run still imo. But if you wanna a gaming laptop like uoi100 said 1k range is normally decent for a few years asus or alienware both are rather decent.

Graphics Minimum? I was looking and most of the 1k stuff is a 1050. Will that get me anywhere or do I need to look at a 1060 Minimum for Gaming?

what kind of games u wanna play? i actually think 970 1050 is not as good as 970. as for 1060 is only slightly better than 970 gtx. I would rather u find one with 970 gtx

No idea tbh, just want the option. I thought going backwards to a 970 would hurt the idea of having it last atleast 3 years.

$1500 is most i'd spend and plan to. Desktops are more powerful and cheaper usually. But the ability to carry a laptop around is great. 1060 is right around the 1200-1500 range and the ones with 1070, you're looking around $1700
