What game are you currently playing?

You get dishonest salty people running around in every mode of every game that's online xD I can only speak for doa6, but all the best players I know and/or discovered while playing, including dozens of pro players, run through rank. That dude I played is literally the only blatant booster I've run into so far. It doesn't make sense to condemn an entire game mode simply cuz a very small demographic runs around with boosted win streaks. A player being dishonest won't change the fact that I'll body them... and in doa6 I still get my points at the end of the match regardless if they disconnect xD Rank or lobbies... the salt runs through them both. And you get scrubs in both modes too. The majority of the post game hate mail I get, or accusations of cheating, comes from players in lobbies.

I never condemned the entire mode, I just said I don't care for it. I'll play ranked matches here and there in fighting games but I never make a point of raising my rank or worrying about my rank. I just find it silly how these online warrior types get at times mainly, that's my only gripe I basically play a little of everything when it comes to fighting games and I've noticed that in most cases in other games it's just mainly ranked where people are salty scrubs while all of the pro players don't bother with ranked and stick to practicing in player lobbies. I'd still play ranked but playing against those types of people gets old fast. I do also play DoA6 sometimes and I mean, for a while ranked was the only available online mode so I'm not surprised that was your experience

The more you win, the more salt you receive. I didn't start playing doa6 until they added the lobbies. If a scrub gets salty after losing, that means nothing to me. They're scrubs xD I always make it a point to play them again, give them another drubbing, then watch them leave the lobby. Idk your skill level in doa6, but if you always can beat scrubs, they shouldn't be annoying cuz they're the players that give up quickly and leave. Now, if a player isn't good enough to give scrubs a routine beating, and then they get a win... then they become annoying cuz they will start talking shit. Feel free to accuse me of boasting in doa6, but scrubs don't beat me... so they have nothing to say after about 2, maybe 3 games... then they ragequit and leave xD The postgame hatemail I get generally comes from GOOD players.

ehhh, I think the culture also varies depending on the game. Like I know in street fighter since like SF4. going to player match lobbies was essentially accepted as being like the "rite of passage" to git gud. Since that's where a lot of people would practice match ups, and more advanced techniques. Tekken is kinda the same in a way. I've ran into the most salty toxic types of players in ranked matches in tekken, while player lobbies were really chill and just had a bunch of people practicing their mains and stuff, trying to learn new things against characters they're unfamiliar against. Soul Calibur 6 is where I'd say I've seen a lot of toxic shit and bitching in all modes also though, I think it's because Soul Calibur 6 is one of those games that's easy to jump into but has a high skill ceiling. Dead Or Alive 6 kinda has that effect too, because it was super easy to pick up but it definitely has a lot of depth to it. Games like that tend to attract scrubs in my opinion, since at the entry level it's easy to get some wins and think you're the shit lmao And eeeeh, I'm pretty decent in DoA6? my rank is pretty low (C+ on ayane and B on hitomi) since I havent' played in a while. I kinda decided to take a break until the other DLC characters come out. I'm definitely going to be messing with Kula when she comes out though. She was actually one of my favorite KoF characters. Though I guess I'm at the point with the game where I know my character's combos and my fundamentals are good enough to be able to recognize something someone is doing and make an active effort to counter it instead of being incompetent and mashing buttons. :u

Labbing in Unist trying to main Eltnum, some Central fiction guilty gear rev 2 maybe a bit of nitro blasters and borderlands the handsome collection all on ps4. I recently got Death end request and really should finish nier automata soon....

Well I've been playing "Downfall" for the past week...or at least it feels like it. Just achievement grinding...but I keep messing up somewhere and picking the wrong dialogue options to get the bad ending. So to break up the monotony of that I think I'll replay "Lorelai" and do a little achievement grinding there.

Most recently played some Dragon's Dogma, GrimGrimoire, Dead Redemption 2, GTA Online (i suck at it) and replaying GTA V. I just jump back and forth between games depending on my mood..
yue31
I'm currently playing Saint Seiya: Soldiers soul on steam :v
turquoisevoid
I just got Yakuza Kiwami 2, but I still need to finish K1. I just don't think it's as fun as 0.
