What's your favorite Final Fantasy game and why?

Suikoden is a old franchise not as old as FF nor as good imo but i still like it 5 was really good game. its a good franchise just its over shadowed by much popular rpgs why you never heard of it. came out on ps1 they made like 7 of them i think 2 on ps1 4 on ps2 and 1 on DS

My fave is probably going to have to be FF9. *holds up hand to stop the flames* Yes I know it was cartooney. Yes I know the game-play got somewhat repetitive. But damn it it has the 1 thing that makes me love it sooo much. and thats the feeling of playing a fantasy rpg. So many games now days pump so much into the game-play and the action, but never stops and just check how the game feels. Oand the story is pitreijiopjraiktre amazing. Also on a side note I loved Suikoden IV. In my opinion a game that could give me 108 characters to recruit in my very own base is good by me.

FFVII was my favorite. First rpg I ever played. What did it for me was the magnificent story and soundtrack. Lots of easter eggs and minigames, stuff like that. It was an era before final fantasy games started going downhill. Yes, I'm talking about final fantasy 13 and the endless sequels it spawned. 1.FFVII 2.FFVIII 3.FFX

Final Fantasy 8 is by far my favorite because it is the reason i discovered final fantasy games and fell in love with them ^^

While Final Fantasy X was the first one I finished. I will always hold FF Tactics as my favorite FF game. Amazing story and characters. Led me to start playing Fire Emblem games in hopes of finding a good strategy game. Suikoden is a bad ass series. Really good. The 2nd was the best by far.
