Dating

It's impossible to find someone that both likes an individual as well as just one of their hobbies? Quick someone call literally every couple I know and tell them their shared hobbies are impossible. Real talk though, you don't even need to find someone already watching anime or immediately interested in your own interests. You can share your interests and maybe they'll end up enjoying it too. I wager it can even be more fun that way. This goes both ways, you could end up with a new interest as well.

Finding someone remotely close that will respond is hard enough, never mind if they fit the bill lol.. Ive noticed a lot of people make accounts here and lurk without saying shit, then ghost.

I got really lucky here. Found someone really great, so the site works as intended. At the same time this place is probably better for screwing around rather than dating admittedly. Maybe it's because of the crowd this site attracts? Maybe it transformed into a place for screwing around and it was better for dating back in the day? I don't know, but anything is possible.

Admittedly i dont usually start convos but the few i have didnt even so much as gain a reply.. so much for trying to talk to randos that dont participate in the site. Never came here with dating in mind anyways tho so i mean.. if it happens it happens but i actually made my account long ago with my ex. lol

Oh well if we're talking HERE specifically that's a bit different. I was taking it as a general statement. I wouldn't be too optimistic with the ghosting and whatnot. No reason to limit oneself to only searching here though.

I have to admit, I came here with the hope of meeting/talking to anime fans from my county and maybe something would develop from that, maybe not. But as far as I saw (since I am new here maybe I am wrong) there are 3 girls registerd from my country. I now think I will just use it as a way to practice talking with people, since I am rather shy.

I will be honest with my feelings towards dating after the rollercoaster ride that was my last relationship. Though I have had dates many times before and lived with others for years, having to experience a one-two punch of tragic loss and spiteful rejection took my desire to get involved intimately outside of passing flirtation. There are great people of both genders in this world. My personal experience is one of countless others. I do not scorn the idea of commitment with others. However, the people I tend to attract are normally not well. This could be mentally or financially and many times both. I've been open minded to empathize greatly, yet empathy can't fix personal responsibility. I know myself well enough to make it through this life on my own terms. How I do so is often mocked because I do not take "risks." That is not accurate. In this world, we are all at risk. Those risks are quite deceiving too. Leading us to believe that the little things are of no consequence while the bigger problems are something to obsess over to the point of worship. Even willing inviting the chaotic as a form of entertainment. My life, I choose to be boring. I choose to be boring because excitement is always around every corner. I don't need to add more chaos as it occurs naturally. I'll get to the point. I'm far too simple minded to handle complicated. And something tells me, I'm not the only one. So I'll live my life as simply as I can. If that's alone. I've made my peace with it. I'm just greatful to be alive. I consider it enough for I am enough!
