Virtually impossible to find girls who like anime IRL?

brendan_james
Not only looking, but is helps if you try ultra hard to make money/acheivements. Somthing to stand out from the rest of men. Give a girl a reason to be with you. Do good enough and they will be fighting over you

Most people hide they like anime and manga because it’s not very socially accepted or understood depending where you are from in the world so it may seem that way. Then you look around because girls and guys a like make sure they are accepted into society.

Some otaku girls'gender is Male in those online otaku communities, because they don't like being harassed by desperate guys.

I know a lot of otaku/gamer girls. We are out there and I’d say it’s definitely a 50/50 split between the community and I’d say I’m pretty open if people ask me about it. I don’t really go around screaming from the hills “I like anime and games come talk to me~“ though :P I also don’t wear a lot of clothes with anime or game things on them. I have tons of cute keychains from my favorite anime’s but unless you follow me home you wouldn’t really see it so I guess I’m unintentionally hiding it :P

It's because we use terms such as otaku that we have this negatve stigma in the first place, and thus women keep their Anime/Manga interests locked away. Otaku isn't a term to describe an anime or manga fan it's a slanderous term akin to calling someone "OCD-Freak." It refers to people who obsessively sort the things they enjoy. You could be a football or car otaku. It's because we brought the term and other such views with us to the west that anime and manga have become synonymous with the obsessive and the reclusive. So sorry i don't come with advice, ofc it's hard because we drove Anime underground, kind of like painting the situation monochromatic, we pushed it to the point where most people have their own "black" persona (not racial, i'm basing it off of the Ying Yang analogy) of an Otaku and we in turn have a view of a "white" persona of a so called normie. obviously it's not that clear cut, if you want to find them then approach it in the same way you would find someone with a regular hobby, such as dancing or horse riding? after you draw multiple theoretic examples you'll spot a pattern between hobby and place, and that should be your answer when applied to the Anime/Manga fan. Sorry it's a ramble when i'm tired i write longer as i cbf to condense and summerise
