This can be complicated and I really shouldnt even be posting it but hey, i like living dangerously, will cut it short and simple though. The yakuza likes money like any other big organization so: Tourist = money for local buisness Crime = Less tourists the rest is something about japanese buisnessmen that sells pens worth 50.000 yen a piece, at the local buisnesses routinely, but I REALLY shouldnt get into that...

The yakuza aren't that bad when you get down to its the other minor gangs that will be more likely to get you for petty things.

Those gangs will keep their distance to anything the yakuza own... IMO the safest place on earth is as a customer in ANY establishment run by the Yakuza.
