How do you not understand that the tc is trolling you....I mean look at his posts " Are japanese lovable weirdo's because they were hit by the atomic bomb" I'm sorry, But obvious troll is obvious. Whatever that happened was horrible, a tragedy. Though to be fair they didn't know how powerful it was and were doing so to end the war, So its not all black and white. Though I understand why we did it, I can't say I agree with it, Though I can only imagine what was like to make that painful choice and live with the death of countless in your mind. Anyway their troll, I took the bait just because I'm bored and this isn't really a joking matter.

Before I see this turn into a shitfest, no Hetalia isn't gonna teach you this shit: Japan was like a little bit of Russia and North Korea is now at the the time period around WWII. Basically what happened is like what the US is doing now with North Korea and Russia, doing sanctions, cutting the respective countries off from certain things because we want to send them a message. Almost when you were a kid and mom and dad would take your TV or video game console away and tell you, "Not until you __________." Now, Japan was doing a more extreme version of the shit Russia is pulling now. Just going into the neighboring countries and taking over/attempting to take over. They themselves had limited resources and we were a source of the resources they couldn't get. That wasn't why the reason for them taking over other countries specifically, but it sure helps. Anyway, they realized that we weren't going to lift the sanctions on them because they kept pulling their shit, and we had stuff they wanted still, so like they did with everyone else, they attacked us in hopes they could some how gain ground and get some of our stuff. Unfortunately, that did not work for them! Because they attacked Pearl Harbor, and were threatening the Pacific, but we had fleets of ships and planes and a whole army with lots of men to fight back. So, we did, we declared war on Japan for doing what it did and in turn Germany and Italy declared war on US in a sign of solidarity under the Axis powers. Japan forced the US's hand. The US wasn't planning on joining the war originally. They had stayed back while putting up sanctions on the countries that were involved, and trying their best not to get caught up in it. Now, as for the part where we bombed them. Nuclear weapons were definitely something they knew was destructive and horrible. Yes, this was a horrible, disgusting thing we did, and one of the bombs directly hit a fucking HOSPITAL and had the most impact on innocent civilians rather than military troops and government. Yes, the effects lasted for a very long time! The radiation cause birth defects, cancer, radiation poisoning, a lot of sickness... and we left them without an actual hospital cause we blew it the fuck up. It was really the most awful thing we could have done, and we did it. I completely do not excuse what happened to Japan, but there was a lot going on with this war, the war occurred on both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, Japan was the one that engaged us, and now Germany and Italy were trying to start shit. We had already gone in to help our allies by the time we had developed and manufactured the nuclear bombs. Really, we were looking for a way to send our enemies a message, "Hey, look, we got this thing we made, it's really destructive, it's really nasty, we have several of them, and we don't mind using them." Cause just saying we have a nasty, destructive thing doesn't make the same impact. Actions speak louder than words. Now that I've made an attempt to clear that part up, did it make Japan weird??? Japan, while being similar to any western society still holds a different standard of cultural norms. I wouldn't consider Japan weird at all. Now, did the impact of the nuclear weapons have any impact on their way of life and health? Hell yeah it did. Did it give them a different view of war, and it's impact? I think most definitely. Did it make them have a dislike of nuclear weapons and their use in warfare. YES! But can you consider this weird??? NO, cause if you reversed the roles around you'd be the same way. It's not weird or strange at all.

It didn't warp them mentally. I will rephrase what I have said and put it simply: They feel the way they do because of their experience and what they experienced was very bad! As for being mentally warped... There are a lot of people like that all over the world. I mean, the US has a lot of weird people. Look in the mirror. You're the oddest person I know and you didn't come from Japan. So, why are you mentally warped, dude? Was it because of radiation and nuclear war? Nope. Well... there you go. You don't have to be Japanese, experience radiation, or have been a victim of a nuclear war to be a complete oddity.
